Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Thanks for dropping by. Above are all the other places you can find me and keep track of what I'm doing. Feel free to check those out as well. There are things there that aren't shown on dA.

As the title says, my plan for 2013 is to start off strong. And what better way to start off a new year strong than by making sure the last weeks in 2012 help build that up? Exactly.

This year has been a great year of opportunities. Sure, there have been some ups and downs, but I couldn't have asked for better. I got my first chance to work for hire doing a comic (though the company didn't follow through). I got a chance to go to not only one, but TWO, conventions and show off my work. I made some great connections there and lot more chances as a result. Met up with some local guys, who I'm still working with and planning on dropping something great next year. The year 2012 has even lit a fire under me to go after something I've been putting on hold for a long time, self-publishing Tesla. On the road to a new baby with my wife (five more weeks!). All around, it's been a pretty decent year. I've had some tough breaks and found myself lost along the way, but it could have been worse.

Looking back at my goals I set for myself this year, I think I've done a pretty decent job. Things are not EXACTLY where I want them, but small goals/accomplishments make a bigger impact than huge goals that can seem unobtainable. So I guess I get a gold star for the effort. I couldn't have done it without all the support I've had over the year, through friends, family and you followers here. Here's what you can look forward to from me in 2013:

Tesla
Got the edited script back in its final state, and Tesla is looking good. So far, this is just a taste of things I have in mind for Tesla, but I think you'll all love it. Got some rough layouts waiting for me and I will get working as soon as I have the time.

Firefly
Firefly is still underway, but the creator is taking some time to get this project refocused and headed in the right direction. The Kickstarter failure set us all back a bit, and left a bad taste for some. Still plan to drop this, but just need time to pinpoint the goals we all have in mind. I'll keep you posted

Commissions
The decision earlier this month to end my commissions was a hard one, but was needed. The above mentioned items are something I REALLY need to focus on. It was great getting all the requests that I did get, but it wasn't consistent enough to keep open. And overall, I'm not happy with having to lowball myself just to get a few bucks on something that I take hours to do. I'm not at my best mentally when I do that, and my art suffers as a result. Does this mean I'll never open commissions again? No. Just not right now, is what I'm getting at. I want to give everyone my best, and my best is yet to come. You'll see.

So that's all from me for now. There's still so much to talk about, but I'll save it for 2013 with proper updates. Big thanks for all you, old and new, who follow my work. I can't wait to show you all what this new year will bring.
